Position: Client Services - Listed Real Estate
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Role Overview:
Join our team as a Client Services professional supporting Third Avenue’s Real Estate team — where you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive the sales and client services efforts for the Firm’s listed real estate products. We are seeking a self-starter with a strong track record of capital formation and driving business development.

Third Avenue’s Real Estate team is recognized as a leading investor in listed real estate with a long-term, value-oriented approach and expansive universe that includes investments in commercial, residential, and real estate services globally. The team currently oversees more than $400 million of capital in its dedicated strategies, including the Third Avenue Real Estate Value Fund (which was named the 2025 Best Global Real Estate Fund by LSEG Lipper) and the Third Avenue International Real Estate Value Fund (which has a Morningstar 5-Star Rating).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in listed real estate and play a pivotal role in expanding client engagement to drive capital allocations. The candidate would also help support the team’s existing client relationships, augment existing marketing materials, and assist in developing demand for the firm’s extension opportunities —which may include U.S.-only vehicles, actively-managed ETFs, sub-advised relationships, and model portfolios.

‍Location:
‍This position will be based in Austin, TX with the option to work in-office or on a hybrid basis. However, we will consider candidates in other areas based upon business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
‍·        Drive new client opportunities across the listed real estate strategies.
·        Retain and expand existing client relationships.
·        Develop market insight and gauge industry trends to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.
·        Build and execute business development plans for the listed real estate strategies.
·        Provide reporting and regular readouts to track progress for the team.
·        Collaborate with the broader team to develop materials to further educate and inform investor base, as well as support the due diligence request (DDQ) process.  
·        Initiate and facilitate in-person (and virtual) meetings with Portfolio Managers and prospects/clients.
·        Identify and attend key industry conferences, as well as other relevant industry events.  

Qualifications:        
·       Proven track record in raising capital for funds focused on listed real estate, real assets, or public equities.
·       Knowledge of industry trends and competitive practices.
·       Proficient in Salesforce and CRM Management.
·       Existing relationships with real estate/real asset allocators in relevant sales channels (RIA’s, family offices, wealth management, retirement, insurance, et al).
·       Bachelor's degree with FINRA Series7 and 63 licenses (or a path to obtain the certifications within 3 months of start date).
·       Travel is required for this role (at least quarterly).

Compensation:        
Third Avenue Management follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees, which includes a base salary and bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The bonus is used to award performance and is determined by the company, team, and individual performance.
